This is my third week into the Make Art That Sells Bootcamp class by famed Illustrators’ agent and artist, Lilla Rogers- http://lillarogers.com. There are 500 participants in this online class. They are comprised of professional, licensed artists as well as a bunch, including me, who are just entering the art licensing world. Everyone has a different style and they represent many different countries but they all have three things in common: they are ALL AMAZING, they are all EXTREMELY encouraging and they all have the same insecurities when it comes to sharing their art. My biggest struggle with the class has been my lack of technical skills in Photoshop and Illustrator but I have attacked Skillshare.com and adobe.tv.com and am determined to learn how to use these invaluable tools.Learning how to create digital art for a traditional artist is a very frustrating journey but my classmates have advised me to be patient because even those with over 15 years of experience with these softwares are still in learning mode. As an artist, we are always in learning mode, always evolving. The discomfort we experience usually turns into Aha moments. Convinced by this, I push on. Here I am posting the 2 versions I did for my first project as well as their mock up versions as case covers. I decided not to move forward with the version in my previous post. These feel more like me. Hope you like them.
